Scholarship 2009This year's recipient of the BC Odyssey of the Mind Scholarship is Kirsten Frayne.
The Odyssey of the Mind scholarship is $250 awarded once a year to a student planning to attend a post secondary institute. The recipient will be someone who has participated in Odyssey and demonstrates a commitment to creativity. The application deadline is January 31st, email odysseybc@gmail.com for information on how to apply. |
Kristen is at the University of Victoria studying general science. She is aiming for a BSc in either Earth and Ocean Science or Biology. Though she has not had time for many creative endeavours, she has tried to be creative in all the aspects of her studies. Says Kristen, "Odyssey has helped me in this way. It has allowed me to think in an open-minded way, evaluating all options and solving problems in original ways."
